Turns out that sweet potatoes left in the window so long that they sprout can be a good thing. With a simple snip of the sprouts and a quick shove into my community garden plot, I somehow knew months ago that my little sweet potato plant that could, would. Four and half months old, with two teeth and clearly her parents' love of food, baby takes a first taste of solid food.
